About
A working notebook for security architecture.
Why this journal exists
Layer Seven Notes is a collection of working observations about security architecture, network boundaries, identity and infrastructure operations.
The emphasis is on decisions rather than products: what a control is expected to prevent, which assumptions it depends on, how it fails and whether the failure can be detected before it becomes an incident.
The notes are intentionally practical. Some are structured articles; others are reminders created while reviewing configurations, diagrams and implementation plans.
